Lent 2017 started on Wednesday 1st March and concludes on Holy Thursday 13th April before Mass of the Lord's Supper. At this time, the Church commemorates Jesus delivering Himself up to God for our salvation, calls us to conversion and invites us to renew our option for Christ and His Kingdom and live as His missionary disciples. We are called to bring the love and saving message of Jesus wherever we are and to those far away through our prayers and sacrifices. We have provided a link to a Lenten calendar which offers practical activities to help us observe lent. Each day the suggested activities will be sent as tweets to followers of the school twitter account. We have also provided a link to the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle website in which you will find lots of useful resources for each week of Lent.
