Year 13 Mocks
Dear parent/carer,
I hope that you and your families are safe and well and that the new year has begun well.
As I am sure you are aware, Year 13 students will begin their second round of mock exams on Monday 14th February. The exams will take place throughout that week and will continue when students return after the half term break. In order to give students an experience similar to that of the Summer exams, some of the afternoon exams may finish after the end of the school day so students may need to make alternative arrangements for getting home. Those students affected by this will be aware from their exam timetable.
As with the previous mock exams, we firmly believe that the mock exams will have a positive effect on focusing students’ minds and give them further valuable formal exam experience.
Students have been issued their timetables and should now be using their time wisely in College to prepare for the exams so they can perform to the best of their ability. The study room is available to students before and after College as well as study periods where they can study in a quiet environment.
The mock exams will provide teaching staff with up-to-date information regarding students’ current progress and what support may be needed in preparation for the summer examinations.
It is imperative that students attend all lessons between, during and following the mock exams in order to maximise their chances of success in the summer.
If you would like a copy of your son/daughter’s mock exam timetable, please contact the Sixth Form student support team.
If you wish to discuss the exams or any other issues, please do not hesitate to contact me at College.
Yours sincerely,
A McCarthy
