Wednesday saw the launch of our new Higher Learning Potential programme with students in years 7 and 8. The students were involved in a giant board game experience in the morning where they learnt about university life at Northumbria. The introduction included all aspects of university life, including social, financial, courses and wider opportunities.
Following that the students and their parents joined us in the evening for an introduction to the programme and the opportunity to try out some of the strategies and tasks that will be a part of the enrichment programme.
Thank you to everyone involved and we are looking forward to giving students the opportunities to experience and investigate how their academic skills and talents could be used in the wider world. The programme aims to broaden their knowledge and inspire them to push themselves to achieve their ambitions and develop new ones.
