Caterlink are delighted to be working in partnership with St. Bede's Catholic School and Sixth Form College and we would like to tell you a bit about us and your catering services.
We are education catering specialists, meaning that we focus solely on primary, secondary, academy and college clients. Healthy eating is at the very heart of our approach to food. We wholeheartedly encourage balanced diets within our dining rooms and significantly invest in training our teams. Our policy of purchasing a range of seasonal produce from local and regional suppliers enables us to deliver great value.
Our menus are refreshed every term to ensure we reflect the changing seasons and trends from the high street. 95% of all our food is freshly prepared from scratch on site by our team, so if you have a fantastic recipe you would like us to consider, come and talk to us!
We are also proud to say all our meals are nutritionally compliant with the Government standards for Food Served in Schools.
Look out for our theme days and promotions throughout the year!
You can find out more about us on our website www.caterlinkltd.co.uk
Allergens: In December 2014 – the Food Information Regulations 2013 came into effect which require all food businesses to provide customers with more information relating to the food served.
Caterlink are committed to providing meals for children needing special diets for medical requirements, where possible. It is, however, necessary that we have an accurate record of all allergen or special diet requirements, which are to be recorded on the Special Diet/Allergen form and discussed with the Caterlink Catering Manager. For further information, please speak to a member of the Caterlink team or request a Special Diet/Allergen form from Mrs E. Stemp (First Aid).
Cashless Catering: The school uses a biometric cashless catering system for all food and refreshment purchases in both the main servery and The Hub. Parents can log onto the school gateway to look at student account balances and meal choices. Student accounts must be in credit in order to purchase food and/or drinks as cash payments are not accepted.
Free School Meals: Entitlement to Free School Meals (FSM) is subject to approval (based on current legislation). The FSM allowance covers the cost of a standard meal deal. Additional funds should be added if your child wishes to purchase other items. If you think that your son/daughter may be eligible for a Free School Meal, please contact Mrs Armin, Office Manager on 01207 520424.
