Caterlink are delighted to be working in partnership with St. Bede's Catholic School and Sixth Form College from September 2019 and we would like to tell you a bit about us and your catering services.

We love food and hope you will love what we provide at your school. We embrace natural ingredients, love seasonal produce, and develop ethical trading with many of our suppliers. Our meat, fruit, vegetables and bakery is all sourced from suppliers as near to the school as we can. Our menu meets the Silver Food for Life Standard.

Our menus are refreshed every term to ensure we reflect the changing seasons and trends from the high street. 95% of all our food is freshly prepared from scratch on site by our team, so if you have a fantastic recipe you would like us to consider, come and talk to us!

We are also proud to say all our meals are nutritionally compliant with the Government Standards for Food Served in Schools.

Look out for our special offers and promotions throughout the year!

You can find out more about us on our website

Allergens:  In December 2014 – the Food Information Regulations 2013 came into effect which require all food businesses to provide customers with more information relating to the food served.

Caterlink are committed to providing meals for children needing special diets for medical requirements, where possible. It is however, necessary that we have an accurate record of all allergen or special diet requirements, which are to be recorded on the Special Diet/Allergen form and discussed with the Caterlink Catering Manager. For further information, please speak to a member of the Caterlink team or request a Special Diet/Allergen form from Mrs E. Stemp (First Aid).

Cashless Catering: The school uses a biometric cashless catering system in the main servery and students access their allocated accounts by using finger scan identification. Student accounts must be in credit in order to purchase food and/or drinks from the main servery as cash payments are not accepted.

The Hub in the Sixth Form is currently cash only.

Free School Meals:  Entitlement to Free School Meals (FSM) is subject to local authority approval (based on current legislation). The FSM allowance covers the cost of a standard meal deal. Additional funds should be added if your child wishes to purchase other items.  If you think that your son/daughter may be eligible for a Free School Meal, please contact Mrs Armin, Office Manager on 01207 520424.

Provision for Sixth Form students: The food provision in the Sixth Form is served in The Hub, which is a dedicated dining area for Sixth Form students and staff only. In the Hub they can choose from an array of different food choices e.g. Sandwiches, Paninis, Pasta, Breakfast Sandwiches, Cereals, Hot Drinks, Jacket Potatoes, Soup, Cakes, Special of the Day etc.; many of the food choices can be pre-ordered. The Hub operates on a cash only basis, offering food throughout the day from 7.45am – 2.00pm. We also offer regular promotions and theme days for students and staff to enjoy. Menus and food options are changed on a regular basis as a result of student feedback and availability of seasonal food.
