Bede's Ball 2012

What a glorious evening!  It didn’t rain which is something of a minor miracle at present.

The evening was held at the Radisson Hotel in Durham and students and staff were exceptionally well looked after by their staff. The ladies wore amazing dresses and looked so elegant, the colours were glorious and they showed complete control of some very high heels! The gentlemen were dashing as always.

The evening began with a warm welcome and prayer from Mrs Matthews and after a lovely three course meal, Mr Henderson ran a most entertaining quiz in which students participated enthusiastically and were very competitive. The quiz and raffle (won my Miss Groves) were held to raise money to support Joe Plumb’s work in Peru; students raised £205. The evening then turned to some serious dancing until 11.30pm when everyone said their final farewells and headed off into Durham to carry on the celebrations.
