SCHOOL OPEN

St. Bede's is open for all students on Friday, 24th May.

(Updated: 3:30pm, Thursday 23rd May 2013)

School will be open

St. Bede's is open for all students on Friday, 24th May. We are delighted to have all students back in school but we are extremely tight for space - 14 classrooms are out of use and revision sessions and examinations will continue for some time. Hopefully, we may have some more classrooms returned to us after half term as the clear up / cleanup work will continue over the weekend and next week.

Thank you once again for your kind words and support.
Best wishes.

Flood Update

Dear Parents/Carers,

All Year 10 students return to school tomorrow with Year 13 and Years 11 and 12 exam students.  We will keep Years 7, 8 and 9 parents updated with progress each day.

Following a meeting with loss adjusters and our insurance company, work has already started to return the school to full capacity.

cleanup

The recent flooding has been acknowledged as a major incident and I take this opportunity to thank parents and carers for your patience and support, as we work hard to make more areas and classrooms available for students.

However, even when all the students have returned, we will not have access to 13 classrooms until September 2013. This is an indication of how destructive this flooding was to our community.

Once again, I can only apologise for any inconvenience and for circumsatnces completely out of our control.

Very best wishes.
